The office had its annual dinner this evening at the only five-star hotel in the city, the Sheraton Pretoria. I was late for the dinner as I was finishing up some papers that I had to prepare for my boss before he leaves for Cape Town on Monday.... well, when I got there, to my surprise, there was the local provincial soccer team, Kaizer Chiefs, at the same buffet as us.... they were in town for their soccer game with its rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, and were staying at the hotel for the night.... Anyway, my office had a local staff who is a crazed fan of the Chiefs.. so I offered to take some photos for him during the dinner.... and not unexpectedly, other members of the office decided to crash the photoshoot, and take their pictures as well... so, again, I was the designated photographer....

Shadrack, our driver, with his idols from Kaizer Chiefs... the person on the left is Rowen Fernandez... the goalkeeper for the team... anyway, for the records, the chiefs lost their game the next day.... their first lost of the season... Rowen scored from the penalty to equalise, but let in a howler of a mistake near the end of the game, to let the Sundowns win 2-1... Maybe it was the curse of having dinner with us... hehe...

From left (Mission staff): Lucas (driver), William (driver), Patricia (Office Attendant), and Shadrack (driver)

In intense conversation with the players... hehe... probably discussing team tactics..

The Kaizer Chief Management with some of Mission's staff. The Team Manager is the one with the multicoloured shirt, while Mr Ernst Middledorp , in the white shirt, is the coach of the team.

being the designated photographer, its really hard to get your picture taken, unless someone is kind enough to offer to help you take one.... anyway, thanks to Mrs Connie Yap, I got my own picture with the Chiefs taken as well....
