Visit to Sterkfontein Caves (19 Aug 06)

Heyho all,

yes yes.. i know.. its been a while since I blogged... have been really busy the past month plus....was out of the office for over a month, and have been travelling a fair bit since mid August 06.... lets see... went to Port Elizabeth and Durban in end-Aug 06, then went back to Spore in early Sep 06 for the IMF meeting, and then went to Japan in late-Sep to early Oct 06 to visit my good friends, Cindy, Constance, David and Phoebe.... and also Jeremy (but he was not in Japan as he was in Spore attending to a family situation.... Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Germ..... Please take care.....)

Anyway, before all that madness took place, I managed to take sometime to visit the Sterkfontein Caves on 19 Aug 06... Went with a fellow Singaporean friend, Rebecca.. who was kind enough to spend her day with me to show me the sights...... The day started off with us going down to Johannesburg for breakfast at Chinatown (aka Bruma).... Had beef noodles, Yu Tiao and Soya Bean Drink for breakfast.... aaaahhh..... good times... memories of home..... Then, we headed to Sterkfontein.. which was a bit of a laugh, cause both of us did not know how to get there.... anyway, after an hour of driving, and with the help of Rebecca's friends (over the phone), we managed to get to the caves.... The Caves are apparently a UN World Heritage Site... and was the site of a major find in human evolution (thats if you believe in the whole evolution thingy....)

Well, here are some pics for your enjoyment....
