Back to spore: 9 -26 jun 06

hmm.... well... as many of you would know... I was back in Spore in Jun 06.... hehe... about 4 months into my posting.... people were quite surprised to see me back so soon.... but it was good to be back.

It was also good to catch up with my close JC buddies during the trip... you know who you are.... edric, dax, ian, khair, elisa, alan..... It was a pity that Mandeep wasnt around as he was away in Germany watching the world cup. Well, it was good to meet up with Ian and Grace and their little one, Nate.... It was so touching to see Ian holding his son in his arms.... man, the kid is cute.....

Given it was world cup season, and that the games were pretty much at South African time, I was pretty much awake at 2-5am Spore time..... which explained for my ability to only meet people from lunch-time onwards..... SA is 6 hours behind Spore time..... was kinda fun kicking back to have nothing on my schedule but watching the games and meeting friends.... it was a memorable night chilling with Edric at Post Bar when Argentina beat Serbia and Montenegro 6-0 (what a good night to watch a game in a bar.... would have been a waste sitting there in a goaless game..) It was also good meeting up with Elisa, Dax and Jean for drinks and later at Dax's place to chill....

well... did not take pics when I was back in Spore in jun 06... but guess what.... I am going back again in Sep 06....... hehehe.... am going back to help out in the IMF/World Bank preps. been getting all this comments of being a "part time Mission officer, part time HQ officer".... hehe... I am not complaining... will be good to be back to see friends again.... moreover, just heard that Wai and Julia will be back in Spore during that time as well... such an opportune time to catch up with them as well..... Will take pics then, and post them here....
