Mohale Dam, Lesotho

I went down to Lesotho recently for some work, and had an afternoon free as some meetings were cancelled. So, I took a trip down to the Mohale Dam, which is part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project that was initiated between South Aftrica and Lesotho to provide water to South Africa. When completed, the project will have 5 dams working (currently they have only built 2 dams - Mohale Dam and Katsi Dam).

Anyway, the Dam is about 100km away from Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. The drive there is another thing all together.... as we needed to go to the mountains, the drive there was not exactly the best that I have had... was feeling kinda nausous by the time we reached the dam... but it was quite a site to behold.... there are some of the pictures during the drive, and at the dam.

Inside the dam, we were shown the various controls..
